Becoming Nancy on Broadway?

And it's important to remember that audiences make shows succeed. Wicked got mediocre reviews at best (and it is far from my favorite show), but its fan base loves it, and that's why it's still going strong. And let's certainly not forget that Cats kept going and going and going. Becoming Nancy managed to stir passion in its fans, and that is extremely powerful - and sells tickets.

I appreciate your very level-headed response. And let's be honest, there are people out there who don't like Hamilton... nothing is going to get 100% approval. I just wish posters would remember that there are people behind these shows (who very likely may be reading what you write) who are incredibly professional and are working their asses off. Well, I thoroughly enjoyed Becoming Nancy, as clearly did the vast majority of the audience that lept to their feet during the blackout. Sure everyone is entitled to their opinion. For me, it was delightful and joyous. My issue is with the vitriol of how opinions on here are expressed. It's highly disrespectful to the tremendous work that goes into mounting a show by exceedingly hard working professionals who are putting their all into their work.
