After finishing their run in Atlanta will Becoming Nancy go to broadway? Will chasing rainbows also come to broadway? Is wrong man and sing street also planning to come this season?

No No No and possibly yes on Sing Street -
New York Theatre Workshop will present the world premiere stage adaptation of the film Sing Street, a new musical based on the film of the same name. But will the show rock out on Broadway?
According to The New York Post, the team behind the musical held a staged reading of the musical this week for potential investors and Broadway theater owners.
One potential backer called the show "passionate and moving" and said that they "didn't want it to end."
According to the report, if the production is well-received at NYTW, producer Barbara Broccoli is eyeing a spring run on Broadway > Hello, Barrymore!

I think becoming Nancy would be a big flop and I don't think it's right for Broadway. Even if it does the show will only last a couple of months. Chasing Rainbows I feel wouldn't do that well either and Wrong man maybe but after the bad reviews I think it won't transfer.

I almost never walk out on a show- but Becoming Nancy was the only one in several years which I found unbearable- it lacks wit, lacks originality, and the story is predictable and overdone- if it come to BWAY- which I doubt- it will- I predict- flop.

Thank you for that, Jordan- and yes, I am entitled to my own opinion- and my friend who was with me could not wait to leave either. I love theater- this week I have seen Moulin Rouge- A plus---Tootsie- A Plus, Hadestown A- and seeing Fiddler on the Roof Saturday- and looking forward to it- visiting from Atlanta and seeing shows with family and friends. I usually love engrossing drama- I love serious theater- but do love all kinds of plays- musicals and dramas- seeing The Inheritance Part 1 and 2 on November 10- a Sunday- and flying in just to see that with my sister. Sorry to bore you but just wanted to give you some background on my taste so that you will not totally dismiss my point of view - a friend of mine who is a very avid theatergoer and flies to NYC often to see everything- also thought it lacked originality and he particularly though the cast was weak- though he did love the mother and her sister. Anyway, after seeing many shows on BWAY and in regional theater- my opinion is that Becoming Nancy is not up to snuff- fine for regional theater- though not my taste.

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed Becoming Nancy, as clearly did the vast majority of the audience that lept to their feet during the blackout. Sure everyone is entitled to their opinion. For me, it was delightful and joyous. My issue is with the vitriol of how opinions on here are expressed. It's highly disrespectful to the tremendous work that goes into mounting a show by exceedingly hard working professionals who are putting their all into their work.
When someone is nasty with their opinion, it totally negates the legitimacy of that opinion if you ask me. If you want your opinion respected, say it like Obama, not Trump.

I honestly did not realize I was being vitriolic- I just did not care for it- but I have no animosity at all- and you are absolutely correct stating that the audience as a whole did seem to love it. I did not- but I would say most people did.

I appreciate your very level-headed response. And let's be honest, there are people out there who don't like Hamilton... nothing is going to get 100% approval. I just wish posters would remember that there are people behind these shows (who very likely may be reading what you write) who are incredibly professional and are working their asses off. Broadway World can be a venomous place. We get enough of that on CNN. Let's keep the theatre world civil. I know that's almost certainly a pipe dream, but people need to remember that words matter.

And it's important to remember that audiences make shows succeed. Wicked got mediocre reviews at best (and it is far from my favorite show), but its fan base loves it, and that's why it's still going strong. And let's certainly not forget that Cats kept going and going and going. Becoming Nancy managed to stir passion in its fans, and that is extremely powerful - and sells tickets.

I saw Chasing Rainbows on Thursday night, and while it's a lovely love letter to Judy Garland, it would not do well on Broadway. There's nothing to the book and the songs felt like I was hearing the same thing over and over. Great performances by all - Leslie, Max and Ruby in particular.

I'm fairly certain this show is Broadway bound. The cast has heavily hinted at a Broadway run.
Personally I really enjoyed the show both times I saw it. It wasn't the most original show I've viewed (I got Kinky Boots and Finding Neverland vibes the entire time), but it had a lot of heart and the score was great. The entire cast was really incredible, especially Lizzie Bea, Zachary Sayle, Stephen Ashfield, and Jessica Vosk. The show was not heavily advertised in Atlanta yet most performances sold out, so it gained popularity mostly by internet word of mouth. I can understand the negative criticism but overall I thought the show was great.
