Next to Normal Broadway Transfer Fall 2026
 Mar 2 2026, 05:59:53 PM

Paddington is set for a spring 2027 transfer, per a friend who will be working on the production.

Crossing all my fingers the N2N production transfers with Caissie, Jack Wolfe, and Eleanor Worthington-Cox at the very least. Would be thrilled if Jamie Parker came over, but could see them wanting to find a "broadway name" to replace him. Saw the production a few times at the Donmar and thought it was just exquisite with a stunning performance from Levy and the rest of the Goodm

Didn't say every show needed to be a brisk 90 minutes. Said I thought this should could be.

Saw the show over the weekend and found it to be very middle of the road in all ways.

The cast is more than competent, elevating the material they have to the best of their abilities. But I think they are both let down by rather poor writing. He fares a bit better because his arc is more clear than hers. Pitts is very likable, though at least this weekend her voice did not soar quite as much as the music needed it to. Tutty is charming and funny and energetic, though at times I felt ve

Saw Samantha Pollino as Florence Saturday afternoon and while I thought her performance was pretty devoid of acting, her vocals more than delivered. I was very impressed, perhaps more than I had been by Katerina Papacostas back in december.

Aaron is still giving the best performance in the show for me, he is so much more loose and free than I've ever seen him in any show previously. He imbues Freddie with humor and charm and a biting edge, overcoming some of the cringiest moments o

I was wondering too, since it seemed like a slap in the face the two who weren't promoted (and seeing that new cast photo still kind of makes me sad). But I see from the Mincemeat wiki (assuming it's accurate) that the same thing happened on the West End with the second cast (two were promoted, two remained understudies, one later moved up too) so I guess it's how it's done and does make a certain amount of sense."

Yeah. Geri Allen on the West End is basically their super cover - she’s been with the show since it opened in London and she’s played, I believe, all the female roles. I believe Gerianne has played all three roles as well, and so she might be the new Jill-of-all-trades.

Fairly certain Gerianne has not gone on for Jean-Leslie.

His saloon scene was a riot. The immediate switch to stereotypical Hell's Kitchen gay made me cackle. When he tried to crawl over the

I saw JCM at the end of his first week and thought he was a bit tentative but there was some great stuff brewing there that I think will come to fruition in the coming weeks. He gets the sense of humor, he just needs to fully commit a bit more. I thought his Madcap Medley was brilliant start to finish though.

Jenn Harris, who I found wonderful when I saw her with Jinkx, is really a standout now. Just excellent.

Tony Macht is still reliable and great.

It is a solid album, though for me it will not replace the original cast album. The mixing feels a little off, the orchestra sounds muffled at times and the voices almost too clear and loud compared to them.

Still, the performances are by and large well-captured (especially Brandon Uranowitz). And it's nice to have another cast album of this show.

Just in Time - Matt Morrison?

It is indeed Morrison followed by Jordan for Just in Time.

Can't imagine why they'd want replacements with diminishing returns when they could close as a smash hit with Groff. But to each their own.

Katerina was very good. Beautiful voice, present actor. Lacked a bit of fire, but I think a lot of Florence's edge has been sanded off in this production. Her head voice isn't especially strong so "You and I" and "Heaven Help My Heart" a bit odd vocally. But overall, really lovely performance.

And very fun to see the cast so visibly excited for her on her entrance, after Nobody's Side, and especially at curtain call.

Jonathan Groff Sets 2025 Broadway Return with JUST IN TIME?

Saw the show this afternoon and was pleased to see a lot of the audience actually stayed despite the absences. A few small areas of empty seats, but a largely full house and a very receptive audience.

Matt Magnusson made a very good Bobby. He doesn't have the star quality or ease of Jonathan Groff, but few people do. You see him working a little bit harder at the choreo and the acting beats, he makes some adjustments to suit his voice. But he really delivers a very good performance

Was there this evening after seeing the show in Boston and during previews and tonight truly felt like the best the show will ever be.

While I think Kristin plays Jackie as aspirational and overly sympathetic, not wanting the audience to dislike her, Sherie attacks the role with a level of bite and wit that paints in stark relief just how many questionable things this woman did for her own obsession with wealth and fame.

Sherie is, to put it in plain terms, an

Saw a screening on Monday and thought it was weaker compared to Part 1, but still very good.

Ariana stole the whole thing for me. Funny, charming, emotional, and an incredible amount of depth and heart. Plus pristine vocals.

I was less convinced by Cynthia. She felt a touch too restrained at times when I think Elphaba's visible anger needs to come through. But vocally, exceptional. And her final scenes with Ariana through to the end of the movie are beautiful.
