I agree with the Pirate Queen comments. I was visiting Chicago and saw PQ on 11/11. I enjoyed it more than I expected. I thought of it as "Les Miz meets 7 Brides for 7 Brothers." The riverdance stuff was not overdone and fit the show. What's missing is a knock your socks off number. A lot of the solos wind up and then kind of fizzle out. Even the finale ends on a bit of a let down, musically. The show was sold out and the audience seemed to like it. No Lestat here. The highlights for me were ...

Not Ball, please! Marius might be suited for a sweet syrupy voice, Valjean is not. Since Lestat will probably be closed by then, my vote goes to Hugh Panaro.
