I just checked Ticketmaster this morning and they are still selling tickets past the closing date in June. Is this common?

bare- LA Revival Sep 22 2013, 11:44:54 AM
I attended last night's 8:30 p.m. performance of bare at the Hayworth Theater in Los Angeles. To comment on a few concerns from previous posters: I was in the front row, and experienced none of the sound issues previously reported. We had a group of 13 people, sitting at various places in the theater, and none of them reported any sound issues either. Also, the director has fixed the ending: the drug buying scene is done in spotlight on the right side of the stage

Has anybody seen the musicals in concert that they put on at the Hollywood Bowl? Jul 5 2013, 03:15:20 PM
I attended The Producers last summer at the Hollywood Bowl starring Richard Kind and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. The production was fully choreographed, and had a set and costumes. They shortened the show, most noticably cutting "Betrayed" from the 2nd Act. If you are not seated in the Pool Circle or Garden Boxes, you are so far back, you end up watching the show on the large video screens on either side of the stage. So consider that when purchasing tickets for $100+.

I agree with Wildcard that Bets Malone (Diana) had a mousy voice, (which I prefer over the chalky voice of Alice Ripley) and that the acting is more important than the singing for this producti

SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE: The Next FIRST WIVES CLUB?? Jun 2 2013, 04:01:56 AM
Just returned from the Saturday night preview performance of Sleepless in Seattle. Unfortunately, the show is the lifeless train wreck most of you have been fearing. It will need a complete re-write (a la Little Miss Sunshine) for any chance at a NY run. I loath to say there are no "hummable" tunes in the show, but most of the songs have forgettable melodies, lack emotion, and are not even serviceable to the plot. The trifecta of bad songwriting. The two leads Tim Martin
