Interesting point. Well, according to the card he “sings well.”
The next card they showed was Amy Spanger, whose card indicated she was up for Maggie.
I also spotted Manuel Herrera (original Chistery) and Asmeret Ghebremichal.
would love to know who else I missed!

Spotted Andy Blankenbuehler in Every Little Step, the documentary about the auditions for A Chorus Line revival. Interestingly, at the moment you see him, Bob Avian is holding up his photo and says “it’s a no.” Had to laugh and say “look how far he has come!”

Finally public knowledge that Elizabeth Teeter is the new Lydia.
She unintentionally hinted at this (that she was cast and set to start rehearsals before the shutdown) on a podcast and it was easy to put the pieces together, especially with Kerry commenting on her instagram recently.
Congrats to her and all cast members!

According to this interview, Emma was never given a contract and is not an Equity member. Sadly, it seems her win was only symbolic, but had no guaranteed reward.

Lydia will be played by Elizabeth Teeter (Mary Poppins, The Audience, Crucible, Secret Life of Bees.)
she was cast to replace Sophia/Presley before the shutdown.

Sergio’s recent Instagram post refers to “Gold Cast.” Wonder if this means there is more than one cast. There are certainly more orphans that the usual 6+Annie so perhaps some are understudies.
Edit: actually Gold Coast is a studio being used by the production. So I guess no alternate casts.

Interesting... I was basing my comparison of worker numbers to a video I have of the show. There are definitely 7 workers, but I only see 6 listed in the Broadway cast. I wonder if my video is an older one from London?

Also saw the show at Ken Cen today. Just wanted to add, there are only 5 workers (3 men, 2 women) instead of the 7 on Broadway.
Only one spinning ring, no elevator, but the new feature upstage at the back was very effective.
Was interesting that the musicians onstage were masked, other than the trombone player.
