I saw Idinas concert, and despite what everyone thinks she was in very much control of her voice, and she sounded.. i hate to use this word but.. amazing. I also met her after and she was so sweet. She gets such a bad rap for being "mean" at the stage door and to her fans. madonna may be a "smart money choice" but i dont think shed be good at all on this show. She'd blow her voice on a Broadway schedule, not saying idina wouldn't, but she has gotten better at not "screeching" if you will. I wouldnt want to see Madonna in evita. shes already done it... and wasnt that good.

Spelling Bee. Avenue Q is cute and funny but it doesnt go any farther than that. Yeah, its entertaining but it doesnt do much more than that. It does have a couple of messages, but Spelling bee is so much more than just a spelling b. You are pounded with both comedy and serious situations that make you think about how hard kids actually have it.

I do agree. I would fly to London to see Idina, because ive already met her and seen her in her concert, which was fantastic. Dont judge Idina till you see her concert. But Linda would be equally if not more amazing. Listen to her BRoadway, My Way CD. She's great for the role
