Way before my time but I’m surprised with five nominees they didn’t nominate Rebecca Luker for the first Broadway revival back in 1999. That production also won Best Revival. Was anyone around then and remembers what the criticism was? ..

I liked the show and the outcome. I wanted to see more of the girl who did Evita. One of the finalists, Emersyn Hunt goes to the Children’s Professional School in Manhattan and the red haired guy lives in Los Angeles so I like that the winners were from other places (Tucson and Atlanta). ..

So this show would close in time to still have Jasmine in Sound of Music at Lincoln Center? happy to see her booked and busy !!

I've never seen the movies and have no real connection to Paddington at all. Don't remember ever hearing about the character growing up or seeing the books around. I imagine many Americans feel a similar way, but as a theatre fan if the story, music, is good I don't need a connection. They don't need to Americanize really except I think casting a few Broadway regulars instead of an All British cast would help make more of a connection. But hey no one was familiar with Operation Mincemeat and ...

Any news on this. Sarah Paulson presented at the Tonys, I know she loves Broadway. I don't know if she's filming anything soon but it could bow in Spring 2027. Pedro Pascal would be a great partner for her would be cool to see him make his Broadway debut.

Sierra Boggess deserves some love IMO. Over the years there’s been people with great stage careers that never got the Tony nom but are unfortunately not active in the scene anymore. ..

I feel bad for Marla Mindelle, I know she’s a perfectionist and overthinker and suffers from Tinnitus, but her vocals were not great tonight. she was funny in her Celine Dion bits, but her voice was shaky and I know she can sing way better.

Hopefully someone like ATG will work out a deal with Paramount and return it to theatrical use. CBS has no use for it and it shouldn't fall into the wrong hands.

I think the show should play more like the former tenant in the Majestic, Gypsy. The story starts out that way and that’s why people love Little Cee Cee, but the stage mother/daughter dynamic gets dropped pretty fast. The mother characters should be given more to do. ..
