Yeah, Morrison clearly chose to stay home and live off his Glee royalty checks to be with his kids. He said in the interview his kids are old enough to where he is willing to start taking projects again. I do think him only doing three weeks is a bit silly, but he said that he loved the show so much it’s worth it to him.

I’m 35 and had never seen the movie but it’s one of those titles I’d always heard of, I watched it the other day and it’s pretty great! Actually surprised it took this long to make a stage version. It’s a period piece and spans several decades of time so getting the appeal of the younger crowd will be their key to success.

According to IDBD, Thiessen was in Pretty Woman  and understudied the lead male roles in that. 
 

Jacoby is the son of Mark Jacoby, a Tony nominee that is currently in Chess on Broadway. 
 

I'm curious who theyget to play the mothers, could be a nice check for a veteran actress looking to do Broadway for a limited run. Lainie Kazan could reprise her role from the film! I picture someone like Nancy Opel! What is she up to?

Thoughts? I’m not sure how many nominees there will be with only six options. If I had to guess, it will be The Lost Boys, but it’s still early. We also don’t know the full casts of Beaches, Schmigadoon, and Titanique yet!

I read some of the reviews from the Calgary run last year and they actually are pretty positive ? and assuming they made even more changes since then I think ya'll might be being a little harsh.

2025 EPCOT Candlelight Processional Lineup

Yes! Colbert had the theatre restored when he took over which included uncovering the stunning stained glass windows in the space. and it is landmarked so they would have to keep it intact for the most part. I presume there are plenty of backstage areas and dressing rooms etc as well for the shows guests to use. The original theatre had over 1,000 seats so they would need to add back in some.

With the Late Show ending next year and the slow death of Network/Late Night Television could the Ed Sullivan Theatre (originally built as the Hammerstein Theatre, a Broadway House) be returned for legitimate theatre? Would love to see it happen if the space is no longer needed by CBS. Hopefully it goes into the hands of someone with good intentions rather than see it not used or take down.

I work at Disney World and our bookings for this summer are abysmal. It does seem like international travel has been very discouraged on top of Americans feeling the economic squeeze and uncertainty.

This show is produced by Barry and Fran Weissler who are pretty good at what they do and I believe have pretty deep pockets. (hopefully) to wait til it finds it's audience.

Super interesting in the Actors on Actors interview that Groff flew to Australia to see a rival Bobby Darin show and convinced those producers an Bobby Darin's son to give him the rights to do his own version.
