last time I post on here thought I might find some fellow theater loving friends in need of a powerful and rich theater experience that has been long overdue I'm tired of satirical musicals and movie/musicals..ie legally blonde, spiderman, and Shrek porgy and bess is what we've been waiting for so go see it and then let's talk about it finally, Broadway has gotten back in touch with its artistic side and let hollywood deal with commercializing art and going after money

not if you do rush or tkts get em for half price maybe a little more or less I'm not sure if they're doing lottery yet but I've done lottery a lot in the past and almost every time I manage to win tix

Follies--and was dissappointed not much I loved about that other than the costumes I did see HAIR four times, also directed by Diane Paulus that was a really terrific production

yes definitely the show does not feel staged, choreographed, or rehearsed. Sometimes I feel that a play seems like everything is anticipated and the director and designers have made an effort to remind the audience that they are in a theater by using gimmicks and such. Porgy and Bess is directed and acted in such a way that it does not feel directed or rehearsed--the story and action unfolds before your eyes.
