So is Josh Young for JCS in the featured category then or is the general consensus that he's been out too much bc of his illness to have a real shot at a nom?

No idea what the hold up is about this! It seems logical sense to record one. It seems like there'd be a ton of demand since this show has also been in Stratford & La Jolla (and I'm sure a ton of ppl who saw it there would be interested). Sadly, nothing seems to be in the works yet.

Anyone know if Josh Young has returned to JCS? I'd like to buy tickets to see the play again but, no offense to Kushnier fans, I don't want to see it without him.

That performances doesn't do Josh any justice at all. He's a million times better in the play. He doesn't sing it operatically like that in JCS at all.

I've seen both Young (in La Jolla) and Kushnier (Broadway) but honestly, Young was far, far better than Kushnier at the performance I saw. I really like Kushnier so it's no disrespect to him but I think Young just exuded charisma and sensuality in a way that really brought out the best in Kennedy & Nolan. I really like Kushnier but I don't buy that McAnuff would make a decision this quickly into the show's run unless there are some serious concerns about Josh Young's health. Perhaps he has something more debilitating/will need a longer recovery time than a cold or bronchitis. Otherwise, I think McAnuff would have replaced Young with Kushnier after the Stratford run.
