Favortie line from any Broadway Show

Last Five Years: These are the people who cast Linda Blair in a musical.

Company: I’ve seen an audience of Amys watch a cast of Amys act in a play. Seems there are more of her everyday.

[title of show]: Audiences want to see Paris Hilton in The Apple Tree.

Hairspray: They can keep us from kissing, but they can't stop us from singing!

Fantasticks: It begins with a forest where the woodchucks woo and leaves wax green, and vines entwine like lovers, tr

Your Favorite Piece of Stage Magic

The Guthrie's production of Glass Menagerie (1988, I think) included a moment where the entire set appeared to turn into glass. It was a magical moment in an otherwise dismal production. Polly Holliday as Amanda? Kiss my grits!

Your Least Favorite Sondheim Song

Frank Rich wrote (about Merrily, I believe) that to be a Sondheim fan was to have your heart broken from time to time.

And this is why theater people can't have nice things.

Your Least Favorite Sondheim Song

Alright, jasonf. I'll give it one more shot. :)

Your Least Favorite Sondheim Song

jasonf - I'd heard "Pretty Lady" in the Sondheim Celebration at Carnegie Hall and just fell in love with it, so I was anxious to hear the rest of Pacific Overtures. I finally got the CD, and geez. I hadn't been that disappointed since Howard Hessman left "Head of the Class."

Your Least Favorite Sondheim Song

I've tried to get through Pacific Overtures, honest, I've tried! But everytizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
What's your favorite musical theater cliche, trope, or convention?

Oooh, patter songs! I love "If (You Hadn't But You Did)"
What's your favorite musical theater cliche, trope, or convention?

I think it's a tie between jazz hands and the "I Want" song.
The Best Flop you've seen

I haven't seen many Broadway shows, but of the few ... I loved Taboo.

Despite its flaws, I really enjoyed Seussical. There's just something so magical about seeing a show amongst an audience full of children. Their awe is inspiring!

And I wish I'd seen [title of show].

re: UnGLEEful

Dear Glee,
I have SO many reasons to love you. Why are you trying so hard to make me hate you? Is it something I said?

Kisses,
Suzy
