i've seen it from both mezz and orch...tough call...if you like to see facial expressions, then go for your seats in orch...but as a whole, i would pick the mezz so you can see EVERYTHING that happens!

the kids are at a museum where the ruins are...they kind-of recognize each other...you have to see it...hard to explain... a lot of the times Eric sounds just like Adam!

actually i see on one of these threads....so confused now...ha ha ha....that someone explained the opening and closing with the kids and the pyramid. our sets are really cool...we have hydraulic lifts, sliders, flys, pallets, dry ice, smoke machines, turntables...if you've never been here before, we are a thrust stage...

nothing in the score has been changed. the kids hit the stage and Amneris sings as written as soon as they leave. The kids have no lines in the show at all. the difference is instead of Radames and Aida as "adults" seeing each other, they are reincarnated as kids.

We have not cut any songs (i believe) and yes, the kids we have are cute! :) i don't know which opening and closing i like better. i watch the show 8 times a week but have only seen the b'way production once. oh well...if you guys go see it, post a review. i would love to know what you think!

Hey everyone! Just to clear a few things up. I work backstage at WBT and have for about 3 years now. YES - Kim in SAIGON IS ASIAN! and yes - AIDA is African-American...the role is played by Roz Moorhead. Radames is played by Eric Sciotto who was the understudy for Radames on Broadway.
