I saw the movie tonight in a theatre. I was the only one there. I laughed, sang along out loud, and had an ugly cry at the end not just because of how much I love this show, but how much I miss live theatre. I cried for my friends who work in theatre who never know when they'll work again. Yes, it got sappy, but damnit I was the only one there. The movie is great. Meryl is amazing. Corden is horribly miscast. The orchestrations sound terrific. I'm now re-listening to the soundtrack on Spotify...

The way Andre DeShields sings "Can you feeeel it?!?" in the Road to Hell Reprise gets me every time. Chills.

I have two tickets for tonight's performance at 8 pm but I am stuck in Detroit and my flight keeps getting delayed due to bad weather. The seats are row A in the front Mez sec. 4.
