No, it's not a tour. The mn production is a co-pro between The Ordway Center and Park Square Theatre of St. Paul, MN.

So, I was just looking at the AEA website and saw the "If you know someone on the Wedding Singer tour" flyer and found it interesting. Anyone know what it's about? The flyer addresses the folks involved and says, "Take your professionalism to the next level"....
What's the backstory on this one?

The lovely and gracious LaKisha from American Idol was at The Color Purple tonight. I got to see 2 idols for the price of one. (sorry, that was kinda bad) But she looked GREAT!! I wonder if they are persuing her for a role after she does the Idol tour...
In other news, Fantasia was all I expected and more! LaChanz set the bar very high and it's hard for people to get up there but 'tasia does well!

I went last night and I need to be honest. I enjoyed Mr. Hanes a lot but I found the script to be excruciating. I didn't care about anyone, which might be the point of the show, but I just wanted to scream because of all the complaining.
Tyler was above and beyond, though, that's for sure!

The question should be - why is the search feature so finicky?
But this still doesn't answer my question. Clearly I see she did the reading in January. I'm wondering if she is no longer moving forward with the show now that the role is listed as not being cast.
Thanks for the article from January though. Sounds like a fun show. Don't know how long it would run, but fun.

It just amazes me how it was SUCH a huge show a few years ago and now it's gone. Again, not to be all over dramatic, but it is sad.
Was it only successful with Lane & Brodrick?? Is that why it couldnt sustain a run?
In the grand scheme of things, I guess nothings here forever. Long runs are rare and if we look at history, a shows life was far shorter than what we see today.

I get out of the subway everyday by the St. James and the last week or so has been very sad! It's hard to walk by a theatre where a hit show has closed and watch as they slowly dismantle everything that went into making this hit.
Now, I know the show had seen better days and it was it's time, but it just makes me sad to see it gone and slowly loading out. I wasn't even in the show and I feel sad. I can't imagine what the people feel like who did the show almost the entire time it played here

Saw the casting notice today and it said they were still looking to fill that character, while other roles have been cast. Anyone have any info?

Goldenboy/Westvillage - I know a great deal of "sophisticated theatre goers" who have really enjoyed this production. I agree that it's primary demo is girls 8-15, but not everything has to be as complex as Wicked or as edgy as Spring Awakening or as fresh as The Drowsy Chaperone. It has it's place and does quite well in the world of musical theatre and will hopefully be around longer than the Wedding Singer - another great musical people loved to hate just because it was based on a movie.

That wasn't a blooper, that scene goes from December to April.
I think they need to do some tweaking on that bit because it wasn't clear. Especially when they made such a big deal about the first couple month changes and then nothing for April. Maybe it fell too early.

Just got back from seeing Legally Blonde tonight. LOVED the entire show from start to finish! The cast is SO energetic and happy to be there, it's WONDERFUL!
Such a hot bed of incredible performers who are 100% present in every moment of the show. Every ensemble member has a backstory for every character and it shows. Great great work!
Laura Bell Bundy has such an amazing voice! So strong and rich and full of variation. Not your typical Amber/Glinda voice. This girl has
