It must have been an off night, because her "Popular" on Saturday was quite funny with a lot of personality. SHe also really got into "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend".
Just saw her in concert down here in ATL, and it was a great, great experience. I could listen to her sing for the rest of my life, and be perfectly happy. Hearing some of the Bombshell songs sung live also made me realize how wonderful it would be if they could turn out a great book and make an actual musical. Those songs are incredible, and deserve to be heard in a musical theatre setting. That Rosemary Clooney cover...jawdroppingly sublime.
While I am sure all these actors would be fine in and of themselves, I am beginning to consider the movie musical the new "insert holiday here" theme. I guess the Hollywood types ran out holiday dates.
Just an uninformed two cents on this general topic. In many professions, there are plenty of behind the scenes workers that put a lot into the outcome of a product. However, at least in the profession in which I work, mistakes made by those under me may cause problems, but it is my license that people will go after.
