Thank you for the responses. I'm aware of the Non equity companies mentioned and have actually auditioned for Work Light. But I was not aware that the equity productions were produced by independent producers. It's frustrating not living in New York. I guess the next move is to literally move to New York. Thanks again.

How can I find out the touring companies who are putting on these Broadway tours. I have lists of the shows that are on tour right now, but can find virtually no information about the company putting on the tour. I'm a musician looking for information regarding auditions, and would like to contact the companies so as to get audition information from them. Thanks

Again thanks for the info. I've been to the facebook site of theater music directors, I guess I have to have permission or be approved to join the group, so that is pending. I have Playbill bookmarked along with Broadway world, and Backstage. So I'm constantly looking there. Can anyone suggest or think of other touring companies off the top of their head? I used to own a recording studio, so I do know my way around in the world of recording, but I'm a player, and would like to remain in that realm. I've been to the musician wages site. David Hahn (sp?)used to be a cruise ship piano player. I'm currently working for Princess and I want out. If you could look for your list and post it, I would be eternally grateful. Please pardon me if I'm posting in the wrong area. I'm a musician and very much want to get into the broadway touring shows. Can anyone direct me to where I can find some type of list so that I may send my promo stuff in an attempt to get an audition. Companies like Networks, Work Light productions, Troika, just looking for as many names and e-mails as I can get to send my stuff for an audition. Thanks for any direction.

Thank you. I'll get a chance to ask questions on thursday when I audition. I've been doing cruise ships and would like to get back on terra firma with a decent gig. I'm going to assume that they travel by bus, as air travel is costly. Anyone know if you sleep in hotels or tour buses?

Not entirely sure what it is you mean, but my feeling is it's directed at my inquiry in a negative way? Would you care to explain what I may be doing wrong by inquiring?

I'm absolutely sure they will be happy to discuss this. I'm auditioning, and my goal was to get AN audition. Not to ask a ton of questions. That will come. So I thought I would take advantage of this forum in the interim to see if anyone has had any experience with these kinds of tours. Thanks for your input.

Does anyone have any idea (ballpark figure) as to how much they pay their musicians? Do you stay in hotels, or sleep on a tour bus? And how long are you in one town or I guess that depends on how the show does in that town?

Has anyone ever worked for Work Light Productions, and was it a good experience? I'm a musician auditioning for them and was wondering how their tours were.
