Color Purple Revival?
I loved The Color Purple during its Broadway run, but it is way too early for a revival. Oprah needs to bow out of that one. I will say though, after looking up some footage from this London company, Cynthia who portrays Celie has a magnificent voice. Her version of "The Color Purple (reprise)" was one of the best I've heard
The Bodyguard Dream Casting
I'm sorry I love Beyonce for what she does onstage for her live concerts, but I'd be highly upset with her trying Broadway. A musical has singing as well as acting and Beyonce isn't seasoned for the acting portion. To be honest I don't believe she would be able to sustain these songs eight shows a week. I think Felicia Boswell would be fantastic as Rachel and I could see Brian D'Arcy James as Frank.
