They can throw around any excuse that it'll pack seats, and very well - it's a business. But I'd rather know that I had attended a production of the highest standards in everyway that lasted what, 6 months or so, than say a show that lasts 2-3 years and wasn't the best it could be because of a couple of poor choices that they thought would be overlooked.
