This was sort of touched upon but producers are often squeezed into dates by the theater owners. They don't just get to waltz up and choose when they open. A lot of times it's a this date or no date pressure and when you spend time developing a piece for so long and want to see it come to Broadway, it's a heartbreaking choice to have to make... Wait and hope the owners will give you a better opening date with more time to put your tickets on sale or just go for it because you don't know when ...

I'm sure someone has posted about this already but it is a very long thread...Does anyone know when Grease will be airing on mountain time and pacific time?

Did anyone see the previous NYC reading of this? I remembered it hearing that it had much more of a story with conflict than what is being described by all who already saw the production.

I think something that shows debate often is "keeping up appearances" by not selling on TDF versus keeping up their grosses and % capacity and making the most money that they can per week. Fun Home seems like it would be a great show to see through TDF because you're pretty much guaranteed a solid seat. Or at the very least, perhaps a different perspective for those seeing it for a second time.

Tony Yazbeck's performance is not to be missed. Just one of many reasons I'd recommend On the Town.

Is Fun Home eligible for the other awards again this year if it was nominated and even won some of the awards last year? That could, but hopefully wouldn't, take away from some of the award steam building up to the Tonys for this show. Not sure if anyone has talked about this point before.

I've heard that there were standing ovations every night and I'm wondering if this is true? If it is true, does anyone have any insight into if it's for the talented cast or the actual material?

Just saw him walking with a large brace and crutches. I could be wrong but he definitely didn't look comfortable. The fact that he was able to get on stage and perform at all with such an injury is admirable!

I was waiting for someone else to reply on this too. Would love to hear! Does Whizzer see many Off-Broadway shows?
