Posted: 9/22/15 at 10:39amJust checked TDF, as I do several times a day. FUN HOME is on for tomorrow's matinee and evening performances. I almost fell over. While it's been on TKTS sometimes at 20-40% off, I haven't seen it on TDF since the Tony's. Its grosses seem strong lately too. Wonder what's up?

I would assume Yom Kippur is part of the reason.

Taryn, keep checking back. People probably have them in their cart and once 30 min has passed they go back into the available seats.

Are there enough Jews at every show to swing things that significantly? And why not enough goyem to pick up the slack?!

There is actually a lot of Broadway options to choose from on TDF, currently. More than I've seen all summer at once. Including Curious Incident.

I think something that shows debate often is "keeping up appearances" by not selling on TDF versus keeping up their grosses and % capacity and making the most money that they can per week.
Fun Home seems like it would be a great show to see through TDF because you're pretty much guaranteed a solid seat. Or at the very least, perhaps a different perspective for those seeing it for a second time.
