I am astonished that NYC theatre goers tolerate the behaviour of Broadway theatres. It is crystal clear that performances will not start again before autumn, so the only reason for not telling the truth is to keep the money as long as possible in their pockets. In Europe, two classic festivals where I held tickets have been cancelled and I had the choice to get refunded or to get a voucher for the next season, which I opted for to help them getting over the crisis. I do not see Broadway opening before autumn this year, a re-opening only next year seems even more likely. In Europe we also thought in mid March that this will only take 4-6 weeks, however it is now clear that the virus will keep us locked down for at least until summer. As the quality of music is very important to me, I am currently tending towards My Fair Lady, however Hello Dolly also got very good reviews here. Hi, once a year we travel from Switzerland to NYC and are always looking forward to visiting the shows on Broadway. This time we want to see The Audience, however we only have one "spare" evening (April 18th) and the ticket situation on Telecharge is not too good at the moment. More or less we have the choice between 2nd row center mezzanine for $325 (wow...) or far left/right on the side ($145) or last row center mezzanine ($89). Which ones would you choose?
