Question about Larry Kert and the original Company
 Jan 21 2022, 06:49:13 PM

Teresa Stratas was Tony-nominated for "Rags" but declined to appear on the recording; Julia Migenes took her place.

Cesare Siepi starred opposite Georgia Brown in "Carmelina," but Paul Sorvino took his place on the recording.

Andrea McArdle opened the London production of "Annie," but because McArdle had already recorded the Broadway album, the first (British) Annie replacement got to make the London cast recording.

I thought Matt Wolf did the official NYT review for the London production and that Brantley also praised the piece in a column he wrote about both Company and Caroline or Change.  Or were they both "official" reviews with Wolf's simply appearing a few months ahead?

NYPL To Film THOUGHTS OF A COLORED MAN Tomorrow Night

I'm wondering if TOFT somehow managed to preserve the 2020 "West Side Story."  Considering it only played (following lengthy previews) from Feb. 20 to March 11, I'm not sure a taping could have been arranged.
