Seems Detroit theaters don't have any interest in it. Even after I explained how it is about real Detroit history. My bet is these theaters are more interested in producing their own written plays then someone else's. I'll bet there was no interest in "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" for Broadway either.  An interesting play can come from anywhere. "223 Brush Street" was the address of a real life, elite bordello in 1906 Detroit. It was famous in its time as the place for wealth businessmen could go for an excellent time with the finest wine, food, silk sheets and beautiful,but fallen young women. It is "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" but without the songs.  It was never raided and functioned quietly just like the house in Texas. It's not well known in Detroit history because it was run so quietly and safe
