Report: The Phantom of the Opera May Be Readying an Off-Broadway Return
I don't know why anyone would doubt that ALW would put on a good show. I've even seen the non-replica productions of POTO and they were awesome.
How does the BACK TO THE FUTURE Tour compare to Broadway/West End?
The tour is quite different:
1. The courthouse is fully realized on stage and in the tour it's a digital backdrop.
2. The McFly home is fully realized on stage and only a backdrop on tour.
3. The car only moves around the stage after lifting off and in London it flies over the audience and flips upside down.
Still impressive but if you can see it in London.

I don't think I have ever paid less than $200 a ticket for a good seat at production. Some people enjoy dressing up, playing the part, getting into it. I doubt they are going to turn you away if you don't follow the "rules." The temperature of the economy? There is always someone that can't afford XYZ that doesn't mean you stop selling it.

Wow everyone on here is so negative. As a long time Phantom fan I am on the edge of my seat waiting to buy these tickets. Love the marketing they have done as it's been so creative. Why come on here to complain? You haven't seen it or experienced it but have a whole lot of judgements. Just stay home and let us fans enjoy it.

I have no problem with understudies. But don’t bait and switch paying customers with paired down major set pieces when your loading out the same day.

The show literally had replacement sets and props. Examples:
Doc Browns huge chair in the opening of act 2 become a small stand.
The Pinheads sign was reduced to a crappy looking banner.
And more.

I saw the show twice in Seattle and the last performance was missing set pieces. The show was clearly loading out outside and they must’ve loaded out the McFly home and other elements early cause all we got were backdrops. The sets were there days before. Totally ridiculous. We paid the same price and got less show. I want my money back from the shady producers.
