re: Photos from the Play 'Spring's Awakening' in LA
I saw this LA production over the 4th of July weekend. It's actually really good. Definitely NOT anything like the musical - except of course it's the same basic story. Excellent actors. It's darker and edgier than the musical. More of a comedy in the first act. Speaking as someone who absolutely loves the musical, I was happy to see this adaptation of the original play.
