There are a few different laws in play combined with a union contract that regulate childrens hours. The laws are followed to a t by the production. When school is not in session the state law allows them to work I believe 9 hrs per day and they must be done by midnight. Needless to say they can easily get all the performances in. I brought my 11 year old to see it and she enjoyed it. She is mature for her age and has added ring of keys to her rotation of audition songs. I had more problems with sitting for an hour and a half then with any of the content

I have done this a few times. I think i was in the fifth row on the end for rush tickets nothing is blocked (or very little) and in my case there was no seat in front of me so more leg room. When I go alone I ask for that seat.

They are not looking for an adult to play the title role.
