In "Broadway Baby" from Follies, I always thought Ethel Shutta was saying "working for an iceman like a Ziegfield or a Weismann". It made total sense to me, I just figured Ziegfield was notoriously cold toward his employees or something. I didn't realize it was "nice man" until I heard Elaine Stritch sing it.
