How is the show itself? I'm seeing it next week and know virtually nothing about it.

As an artist of note, this is the most powerful tool they have to show support/opposition. It will bring attention to what's going on and get people talking. I applaud him.

Granted I've only seen it once several years ago, but I found Phantom intolerable. Schlocky romance with no humor or self awareness. When my ignorant friends say they "hate musicals" this is what they're mistaking all of musical theatre for.

But how are the show's business cards??

For me, Some Enchanted Evening is the greatest song ever written. I enjoy nearly every version. It's just magic.

I thought the White House performance was really great, it's so exciting that the show will reach audiences of young people who wouldn't ordinarily be able to see it or even care about that period of history. However, did anybody see Lin's freestyle? He can normally do no wrong but sadly it was subpar.
