Glenn Close in Sunset
It is not often that you have the opportunity to see an actress reprise a musical stage role over twenty years later (yes, I have heard of Carol Channing), and Ms. Close’s “return” was impressive. Her voice is still relatively intact, although she used her head voice more frequently and with less power. However “As if we Never Said Goodbye” was presented in all of its glory, and brought many in the audience to tears, including myself. The Norma I remembered was definitely back for that moment...
