Hi all Never posted to this group before, but just wanted to make a couple of points... Firstly, Woman in White is set in Cumberland, as was mentioned. But Cumberland as such no longer exists, and has now become the county of Cumbria - the furthest north-west county in England. Yorkshire it is not! Not too far away, but definitely not the same place - they are different counties, with Yorkshire being on the eastern side of the UK. Well, we can all be snide. I, for instance could ask if that's the same Martin Guerre that saw fit to use the lyric "Claude when he got quite bored tied me with a cord... but only loosely" and then go on to suggest that it's unlikely ALW ever got to see it given the length of its London run...
