It always makes me laugh when people talk about "British accents" as a generic thing (like on Mrs Doubtfire) because as Schmerg says, there's a pretty big difference between English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish accents (and even within those subdivisions). My favourite comment when I visited Broadway earlier in the year was the woman behind me at Guys and Dolls to her friend, "I'm so worried about swine flu I've stopped eating bacon." Not DIRECTLY related to the show, admittedly, but it made me laugh.
