Here is what each show performed (with the exception of Rent, which I had to leave during):
13 - the title song and some other one I did not know
Young Frankenstein - Welcome to Transylvania, Roll in the Hay
Grease - Summer Nights, Greased Lightenin', We Go Together
Legally Blonde - Omigod You Guys, Bend and Snap, So Much Better
Legally Blonde definitely got the most performance time...they went through the whole "Omigod You Guys!" song without cutting anything out...same with the other two. I enjoyed it, but Young Frankenstein was disappointing and did not perform much at all...I have a feeling that was cut down to make room for full Legally Blonde numbers.
It was funny during Legally Blonde, Amber Efé's mic did not work, so Autumn (performing as an ensemble member) ran over to her and gave Amber her mic...then they switched again when Autumn went to sing. It was great to see Amber as Paulette during "Bend and Snap."
I didn't like Grease that much...I felt there were sound issues. The kids from 13 were talented, except the songs did not hold my interest that much.
What do you guys think of the performances?

Rent:
Out Tonight with Renee, Take Me or Leave Me with Tracie and Eden, and, of course, Seasons of Love. It was a pretty good set, and the easiest to hear.
The sound issues were AWFUL. Speaking of awful, Young Frankenstein was so lackluster, they probably should have just stayed home.
I thought the kids in 13 were great, but the music left much to be desired. Sigh.
millie, I too was glad to see Amber as Paulette. That gurl can SING.

Posted: 8/14/08 at 2:40pmI have a feeling YF could have squeezed in one more song. Roll in the Hay was fine, but why Welcome to Transylvania? They could've done short versions of Deep Love, Together Again, or Listen to Your Heart. Legally Blonde definitely took up more time than usual.

Enter Laughing replaced Vanities. Whatever happened to Vanities? Is that canceled as well or postponed or what?
Also, for those who were wondering, Bailey was there and was great despite the scorching weather.
There was some behavior I was a bit appalled by, though. There was this lady who was sitting down with her daughter next to me, and some space in front of her. So of course you had a couple of people stand in front of her, and she would say something to them, which was fine. However, I was kind of shocked that she told some poor little girl who was trying to get a picture to "Move your ass!" The young girl apologized and walked off. I can understand if someone is blocking your view, but she could've been nicer given this girl's age.

Posted: 8/14/08 at 5:33pmI thought Grease did a great job, particularly loved Greased Lightening.

Posted: 8/14/08 at 6:13pmI was there handing out postcards and bracelets for 13. I didn't get to watch the show but I did listen. I thought Bailey's voice has imroved since the reality show. She's also way tinier in person than I expected. I wasn't too crazy about the Mimi who sang "Out Tonight"

Have to agree with alot of comments on here. YF definetly was the last impressive peformance.Nothing about it would sell tickets and it was not a good representation of the show.
Bailey and Autumn (and all the rest) were so good from LB. But what the hell was up with the sound issues and mics?At what point do you try to fix the issue? Kudos for Autumn beng wise enough to pass her mic!!!
Grease was a dreadful bore to me and you could barely hear them at all (not their fault, I guess) Fix the sound system alredy!!!
RENT was fun and I have to admit getting a bit emotional as it was their last Bryant Park. Eden and Traci were on fire!!
13 was very interesting.. liked the lyrics alot! I will definetly check it out.It was really nice to see all the kids parents out in full force supporting ther kids. Hope this show is a success. Thanks to the 13 reps for the cool bracelets.
All in all. a fun day and so nice to see the sun out.
