Reimagined THE FANTASTICKS will open on Broadway this fall

While I agree this is the quintessential off Bway show, I certainly look forward to having my mind changed! I'll be buying Tix.

[title of show] returning…

This wasnt successful on Bway at all. Ran just over 3 months, 115 performances (including previews)

I thought it was adorable, but it is very niche.

Two questions regarding Cynthia Erivo

With respect to their talent, I need AT LEAST a five-year break from both of them

At least together.

The weird thing is: a few days ago the statement came out (maybe also SO?) that Fosca was a dream role of hers - and my head cast Groff.   (I don't want this to be true, beca

Adorable.    It would be awesome if any of the cast came to see it, you know they'd be pulled.

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 5/24/26

111K is nothing  celebrate, lowest grossing show - isn't it?

But he argued when a woman told him he was out of line, but agreed when a man did. Go figure. (Assuming gender roles based on board names only.)

BLACK SWAN and WONDER world premiere musicals and more set for American Repertory Theatre

I wouldn't say "usually" but this prime spot in their season is a prime one to accommodate just that.

I'll be there Sunday, can't wait. Very excited to see new Malloy!

I don't like hats indoors, as has been stated, it's a generational thing. Add to that the struggle teachers have had for twenty plus years with no hat rules in the classroom - it gets ingrained.

That being said - if you aren't impeding my view, I don't give a crap.  Funny thing is, my adult son (mid twenties) who is my frequent theater partner, hates it more than I do - points it out out everywhere we go.

City Center’s 2026 Gala Production: IN THE HEIGHTS

Haven't planned that far out yet, but when they announced their re opening I checked out their prices - and YIKES it was expensive.   (And it won't be until November, so even if it works out for me, I'm sure someone else here will stay there before me!

But lol, I decided to check rates for an August stay (Whoopi Monologues) and the time I'll be there was around $200 a night, so I booked it.    That being said, looking at dates between t

Interesting.  I wasn't sure if the other person that brought this up (on Reddit, after all) was reading too much into it or not.  Sorry to hear, however, that they seem to be spot on about it.   Maybe they'll cut it.  But I won't hold my breath.

COME FROM AWAY returning to Broadway?

and now I'm just gagged that 9/11 was 25 years ago.    Damn, I'm old.

City Center’s 2026 Gala Production: IN THE HEIGHTS

Got my tix about an hour ago, no waiting to get in.   Row A Mezz (behind the dress circle), on L side, 135.

I'll be seeing this the same trip as Much Ado and Benjamin Button (at the Public)    You gotta love when some things just fall into place!

Squeezing in two shows....

Already been! But thanks for the suggestion.

Has Anyone Caught the HEATED RIVALRY Parody Musical?

Glad to hear it! I'm going the first weekend in June.

Question, someone mentioned that they use Connor's voice from his childhood YouTube vid to "prove" or imply the character is gay and found it distasteful. What's your take on it?

(And you're right about an extension.)

Next Broadway announcement predictions - what is in the pipeline?

Really going out on a limb with those predictions aren't you? ;)

Squeezing in two shows....

Thanks, Kad, I hope so, too!  (Sometimes the best fixes are really the easiest ones!)

Squeezing in two shows....

I figured it out!  By going Sat (instead of Friday) Balusters has an 8 curtain! Easy peasy! (Well, easier!)

The Balusters has some weird changes for its last 2 weeks...down to 7 shows/week, and even the Sat night shows go to a 7pm start.

Laura Benanti & Tituss Burgess to host Tony Awards: Act One

I was just thinking about her!

Squeezing in two shows....

I def don't want to see just "any"  show, just to fill a spot!

Again, thanks to all for the info/suggestions.

Have you seen the TV show?  While it could be amusing without knowing either of the sources, I think a lot would be lost. But I find that true of most parodies!

But I've heard good things about it two, both leads are terrific performers. Trying to plan my own trip to see it.
