Jesse Green: 13 Actors to See Onstage No Matter What They’re In

Oh, I don't know...I'd say that about 1/2 would my own list .

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 4/12/26

RippedMan said: "I think we are also - which may be because of the current model - lacking in new composer talent. Besides Lin Miranda, there doesn't seem to be any big composers making new musicals. It's all teams of people we don't really know about - like Death Becomes Her. There does not seem to be anything exciting in the pipeline besides Sara B's new musical."

I think Dave Malloy would like to have a word with you.  I'd pl

Lin-Manuel Miranda to direct film adaptation of OCTET

I'm fairly certain I've never used this phrase before but it seems to fit:  I am gagged.

Pink to Host the 2026 Tony Awards
 Apr 9 2026, 04:29:46 PM

I have no feeling one way or another about Pink as a performer.   (I'm certainly not their demographic.)   But I don't see how this makes a difference in viewership.   I know that I wouldn't blindly follow a performer I love doing an awards show about a topic I neither know anything about nor care about.  Kara Young could host the AVN awards (for p*rn - had to look it up) and I'm still not tuning in - even though I adore her.

The only

Black Swan Boston 2026
 Mar 28 2026, 04:57:44 AM

Grabbed my tix for early in the run, near the end of previews.

Love Sonya Tayeh. Love Malloy. Love be the ART. (And I, not everything they do lands, but I respect their variety and constant attempt at art, not at popularity.)

Very curious!

OH, MARY! Reviews
 Jul 19 2024, 07:58:47 PM

My orchestra seats were less than 300. Heck they were less than 200... Or I never would have purchased them.

The show is a ridiculous romp that made us laugh and squeal in absolute delight.

I had a friend go over this last weekend, she said it was empty. (And not good.)

THE QUEEN OF VERSAILLES Previews
 Oct 9 2025, 10:55:35 PM

They've had since Boston to make those changes - and it sounds like they didn't "listen" then.

Mid-Century Modern - now streaming on Hulu
 Sep 29 2025, 05:07:56 PM

Oh, some of these comments have aged like milk.   No acting noms, no wins...I'm surprised it got nommed as it did - but to be fair, I really disliked the show and didn't watch many episodes - which was a disappointment since I really adore the cast.

I guess audiences really dropped off after the initial few episodes?

SCHMIGADOON! headed to Broadway?
 Sep 29 2025, 04:50:00 PM

I loved the show, was sad it didn't get a S3.  But no way this works on Bway.  They couldn't get enough people to watch when all they had to do was turn on their TV's.....they aren't going to get folks to fork over big bucks for it.

You can buy jewel cases (pretty cheap) and even make your own title for the spine.

No....that there are only burger joints or taco bells in the area.  (which is what is meant by RE)

Theater Quiz for September 2025
 Sep 27 2025, 02:13:49 PM

Q7 is a tad unclear - since THREE of those listed are currently on Bway, your question doesn't specify how we could know which two you were looking for.  (I hadnt' chosen the one from last season.)

The Bandstand said: "That wonderful little place on 43rd and 8th closed today. Their food was always fresh and delicious, nice healthy place. Very sad to hear, don’t know where I’m gonna go anymore, all there is in midtown is Taco Belland burger joints."

Well, that's not even close to true. (Re: TB and burger joints)

I figured as much... if I were an investor, I'd be sh*tting myself right now.

After the reception in Boston, they were already there!

ART - Week-Long Break?
 Sep 17 2025, 07:57:59 PM

I just don't understand why anyone thinks this is even something worth squeaking about.  The production made a decision that they can live with - you don't have to like/support it, but in the big picture - it means nothing.

Let them keep prices the same and let the scalpers reap the benefits. Why do we never protect the scalpers?!
