JOHN LLOYD YOUNG IN 'JERSEY BOYS' Who'd a thunk that the theatrical find in the year would surface in a crowd-pleaser about the career of the pop group the Four Seasons? But playing Frankie Valli, the Seasons' lead singer, Mr. Young crosses the line from spot-on surface impersonation into genuine depths of character. Even wailing "Can't Take My Eyes Off You," he generates a soul-plumbing intensity that makes "Jersey Boys" a Broadway rarity: a jukebox to remember.

Equally impressive is that fact that this praise for John Lloyd Young and the "crowd-pleaser" Jersey Boys ("a Broadway rarity: a jukebox to remember") is by non-other than one of the most, if not THE most influential Broadway critics, Ben Brantley himself.
A nice gift indeed for a Show that fought the odds to become the surprise hit of the season (no pun intended) about one of the most under-rated musical groups of all-time, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
Truly a special and fun night in the theater with a wonderfully energenic and talented cast, headed by John Lloyd Young, who regularly earn multiple show-stopping ovations before the final curtain.
Aww I am so happy for him...I agree with everything Corine has said about him (on this post and other ones too)...he is such a sweetheart!!!!
