What about "A Muppet Musical!!"?

It would basically be the Muppets performing their greatest hits similar to "Disney's ON THE RECORD" and it will show the performers like "Avenue Q".

This reminds me of one of my all time favorite BWW threads:

How strange! On my other tab I am editing Muppet Wiki! ha!
I am a HUUUUGGE Muppet fan and I would love a Muppet musical that's not a full body costume SESAME STREET: LIVE! sort of thing.
They have had Muppet musicals (Here are two that come to mind: http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/The_Muppet_Show_On_Tour , http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/The_Muppet_Show_on_Tour:_2nd_Edition ) But none like how I want. The music and dialouge were canned. That's why Avenue Q is my all time favorite show! I love the idea of puppets on stage, where you can see how it works and the people don't have to hide in uncomfortable places!
I like to compare myself to John Tartaglia. Neither of us are satisfied with just acting or puppeteering, we wanna do both! I was about to audition for Sesame Street (which has sucked since the 90s, but oh well!) and Avenue Q, but before the auditions I had to move back here (Mississippi). Maybe one day...

STOP
Making threads concerning 'what about _________ as a musical'
It is really getting annoying.
#9re: What about 'A Muppet Musical!!'?
Posted: 1/27/07 at 10:47pmI would say Rizzo as the Beadle, so we can more parallel the relationships in the muppets. I could also see Dr. Teeth as Sweeney. I say one or two characters should be human (like Muppet Treasure Island).

Posted: 1/27/07 at 10:56pmI'd rather have Sam the Eagle as Judge Turpin, myself. It seems like the role he was born to play.

Jacob: I don't know. But just keep posting, and ignore the responses that bother you. The board is open to everyone, and you can't please 'em all.
Edit: But I would think about some of the common responses, and then think a moment before you post.

Personally, I think Miss Piggy is about as Mrs Lovett as they GET. I mean, talk about divas.
And maybe there's some homicidal side to Kermit we haven't met yet. "It's not easy being green", so he starts killing people...
Sam Eagle as the Judge is too perfect.

Miss Piggy is totally Carlotta, true, but I had to pair Miss Piggy and Kermit...
Maybe if they ever did a movie ala "Muppet Christmas Carol", they could have some flavor-of-the-week pop star be Christine, freeing Miss Piggy to be Carlotta.
