I found this on another board, and thought it was an absolute hoot.

I suggested that she turn the train into the Cabaret and she should be their emcee the next time they start telling people how they are going to hell.

"I've got to get me out of here This place is full of dirty old men And the navigators and their mappy maps And moldy heads and pissing on sugar cubes While you stare at your books."

I saw that on metaquotes an hour ago! Hilarious. I wish I lived in a big city so I could ride the subway and do that. Unfortunately...I don't. But there's always the train.

that is hilarious! I wish I had the nerve to do something like that.

"Is it your booty? Is that what it is? Is it that booty of yours? I hope it is!"-Zanna, Don't!

I LOVE that story (though I found it a bunch of other places, first).

That so needs to be the official way to defend against out-of-place preaching.

I think my favorite part was when one of the gay guys on the train with her started harmonizing. :)

I actually did that once in high school. Well, not the showtunes part, but the part about trying to reason with a subway preacher. What can I say- I was naive. Those people don't want to talk to you, they want to talk at you. Like you're an object (a sinner, a heathen, one of the damned) rather than a person. I hate people like that. Maybe next time, if I'm feeling up to it, I dazzle them all with my (transposed) rendition of "Green Finch and Linnet Bird."

That was hysterical! I would have loved to see and/or do that!
