Smart move to address the rating issue.

Cute blog, love the brief appearance of Jesse. But, really, it's only making me MORE anxious for the film.

I don't exactly see Rent as a family film, but I'm glad to hear that nothing was cut. I was kind of worried that maybe the studio forced them to cut stuff to get a PG-13 rating, but yeah, I feel better about that now.

I'd be much more upset about the rating if it meant that Jonathan's lyrics had to be cut, but since they didn't, I'm fine with it

Well, while I suppose the actual lyric content has not been changed, some of the visuals that may have given it an R rating could have been taken out.

would they allow a real/romantic male-male kiss in pg-13?

It's possible that they are only going to have Angel and Collins hug.

I would actually have preferred if they edited the movie to get a pg-13. That way I wouldn't see the movie in the theater, but buy the unedited version on DVD.

This just makes me think they filmed a more "tame" version to begin with, which sucks

What makes you think that? Chris and the cast have stated over and over and OVER again that they did nothing to water down the story or edit enything out to make it more tame. Why don't you believe them?

This is getting better every minute !!! I am seriously excited about this film. I don't think that I've been so impatient about a movie for years !!! And I soooo hope that the trend of films premiering in Greece almost simultaneously with the USA continues, because if I have to wait till February, which is the U.K's and probably most of Europe's release date , I will flip out !!!

I'm procrastinating on studying for an exam, so I was reading the Rent blog and all the actors have gotten new "headshots" with their posts that are sceencaps from the movie. They all look so pretty, but Wilson's kinda bugs, I prefer him outta drag.

That video made me happy. I cannot believe the movie is actually finished and we will be watching it in less than two months! I like how they changed the headshots to pictures of them in character, the only one thats not changed is Anthony's, I wonder why.

Maybe people will calm down now about the rating. I don't think he'd lie about cuts.

"Lucky enough," "astounded." I've been saying that they didn't expect it all along -- I think that indicates such.

Sigh.
