Final Tony Predictions in All Categories Jun 4 2026, 12:00:08 PM
I thought Nichelle was amazing and is maybe suffering from being compared to Audra McDonald, who she is completely different from.
But I do agree that Shoshana completely elevated what she had to work with in Lost Boys. She was the best part of a pretty full show, and I think her being nominated without wins in recent years will push her towards a win this year. It’s an award with cumulative context

TITANÍQUE Reviews Jun 1 2026, 12:50:12 AM
Did anyone watch her appearance on StageLeft? It seems it was only up for 72hours.
I suspect the only thing Kathy Deitch will get from this is the tips she bragged about and the certainty that no one wi the any sense in this business will want to work with her ever again.

Spring Awakening Revival @ Studio Seaview??? May 31 2026, 09:16:06 PM
If Danya Taylor is directing this would definitely give some fuel to those rumors that Sadie Sink would star in a revival of this…

I very much enjoyed his Twelfth Night last year."
I hated it. It was genuinely the worst production of Twelfth Night I’ve ever seen—including college productions. It was shallow & vapid & avoided any de

Eugene O’Neil Theatre on fire!! May 28 2026, 06:34:52 AM
I think it’s totally possible most of the audience had no idea the show was shut down at all. This is a tourist show at this point and the people seeing the show aren’t going to be up on theater news. A show shutting down for three weeks means nothing to them—if they even heard the news.

Gaten Matarazzo to lead RENT on the West End May 20 2026, 01:05:29 AM
I kind of feel like it’s the perfect time for a RENT revival, as long as someone has a strong take on the show.
there was a moment there where most people seemed to shift to thinking RENT was a bad show and “Benny was the good guy!” And I think in the past 4-5 years we’re seeing that RENT feels so relevant: it’s becoming harder and harder for artists to make a living (especially in NY), we’re in increasingly isolating time

I really hope Jessica Vosk is able to originate in a role and show worthy of her talents soon.

Drama League Awards 2026 on TDF May 17 2026, 08:58:07 AM
10% is a pretty significant number of people if voting on any particular award is fairly close, which this year it almost certainly will be on the major musical awards.

Who's taking Leading Actress in a Musical this year? May 15 2026, 11:47:25 AM
ElephantLoveMedley said: "This is Ragtime's year.
Marla isn't in the best of voice during this run of the show and, frankly, I'd rather have seen them cast other, better sung Celines for the Broadway debut."
That’s funny. I do hear that Marla’s voice hasn’t been at its best, but I’d rather see a Celine who soars at the comedy and runs the show like a ringleader and she does it for me. Her comedy is so on point for me.

Who's taking Leading Actress in a Musical this year? May 14 2026, 12:08:22 PM
Ah, yeah, I forgot about Evita.
As much as I would have loved to see an absolutely silly comedic performance like Marla Mindelle’s win, it’s gotta be Caissie.

Who's taking Leading Actress in a Musical this year? May 14 2026, 11:57:23 AM
I honestly think the only thing that could kill Caissie’s chance of winning is the murmurs that Next to Normal is planning to transfer and the thought that Diana is a showier role and she’d likely win next year.

I know it’s unlikely but I would be perfectly happy if Liberation swept and took home every awards it’s up for. I think it’s worthy of all of those wins.

TITANÍQUE Reviews May 11 2026, 10:09:33 PM
Huh? What producer of Titanique is a billionaire? As far as I know Price is the lead producer of the show and I dont see why anyone would think she’s a billionaire, lol.
Are people referring to coproducers? Do they realize that coproducers are either just investors or vanity credits for fund raising? Not the people handling contracts or doing the hiring…

There’s no better way to telegraph that you’re insecure and losing an argument than resorting to calling someone stupid and illiterate for *checks notes* having a different opinion than you.

TITANÍQUE Reviews May 11 2026, 11:14:03 AM
Kad—I don’t doubt the veracity of anything you’re saying here, but Deitch herself has said multiple times that she did not have ROFR in her contract and that her agents at the time negotiated it to be in perpetuity, which—even if this makes the contracts a contradictory mess—leaves me wondering why she’s trying to drag people and villainize them for contracts she knowingly signed, negotiated by her own team.
Again, sure, if there’

That's frankly a very stupid reason to be rooting against something when they're good to great adaptations of their source material. If the product is good, it shouldn't matter where the

SCHMIGADOON! Reviews May 11 2026, 01:06:05 AM
Not really. You’re mentioning more of the opposites attract trope—where two people think they don’t even like each other at first but if you peel away the layers they actually have something the other person needs and they help each other grow.
They’re also the fantasy Schmigadoon is pulling apart on purpose. The show wants to say that those tropes are a fun fantasy but don’t work as real love.

SCHMIGADOON! Reviews May 10 2026, 10:34:39 PM
ErmengardeStopSniveling, I basically agree with everything you said. I did enjoy it just enough but it wasn’t very funny, the songs were undercooked, and it just felt like something that could have been SO much more.
And, the fundamental problem is—this show makes me want to root against the main relationship & then gives zero justification for them getting back together. They just magically change their minds.
Josh is a dick who yucks other people&

I gather theatrekid3302 might be an actual kid so I don’t think they need therapy (or full grown adults to tell them such) just a place where they can safely express their enthusiasm for theater. I appreciate they’re doing that.
theaterkid, I do hope as you get older you open your heart to appreciating the magic of “smaller” shows. When something like Two Strangers or Titanique breaks through and makes it to Broadway it can feel like a mira
