Posted: 11/8/04 at 6:23pmyeah, it says "Bay Area" as in SF... but that could mean where they're filming. I'm confused....

Posted: 11/8/04 at 6:30pmIf they want you to send your pix to NYC, they're not going to hold auditions in SF - they might hold 2 round. They want people to look like they're from downtown NYC - no better place to look thaN NYC. I'm definitely going to try and get this.

Posted: 11/8/04 at 6:31pmGiving the address of the casting agency as NY suggests to me that that's where the auditions will be. Why not just send in your info no matter where you are right now and let the chips fall where they may. What have you got to lose?

Umm sorry but which city, we in the bay area refer to SF as the city, and I know others that refer to NY as the city

Posted: 11/8/04 at 6:56pmTheir auditions are in NYC. It's possible that they're having them in both, though. Thing is, it's by appointment only so they'll receive thousands of resumes and headshots but will only choose a small number to actually come in. The friends of mine who already have appointments, I'm sure, are not the only ones. So, the open-call type thing they're advertising is a little surprising.

Thanks Erin, You Rock! I'm still going to try, it can't hurt right?

wow that is an amazing oppurtunity. Thanks for posting it. Too bad I don't live in NY or SF.
As for the resume, I would say previous experience in the movie industry, and also activites involving music. And if you have something else you think is impressive, just write it.
I mean... the ages are from 8 - 60. It's pretty general.

Yea most definitely... I dont' know what your age is, but for me... I would be putting musical experience from high school, maybe outside of school... and you said summer musicals. Maybe you did district chorus (I don't know... they have it in my area.)
HOpe that helps/

Posted: 11/13/04 at 6:15pmI'm guessing they want extras who simply can sing (but don't necessarily have a long list of experiences) for the opening number. The apartment where Roger and Mark live must have children in it...

A friend of mine (in the SF area) just sent in his headshot and resume. He has a number of stage credits up and down California, along with some TV experience behind him, and has for years wanted to play Mark. I think he's too old, but apparently HE doesn't.
Obviously he won't get to play Mark in the movie, but I'll probably end up posting here with delight if he even makes it in as an extra.
