I found today a soundtrack for the film OPEN HOUSE, which features Anthony Rapp along with Kellie Martin (yes, that Kellie Martin), Sally Kellerman, Jerry Doyle and others (including Jenna Leigh Green) but I couldn't pick her voice out. I looked it up on the internet movie database and it says a DVD is coming out November 15th...Does anyone know anything about this? The songs (written by Dan Mirvish, Lawrence Maddox, Joe Kraemer & Andrew Melton) are interesting...Not amazing, but interesting.

Hey, thanks for the link...It looks like an intersting film...Gotta love Anthony!
Yes, OPEN HOUSE does star Anthony Rapp, and yes, he's terrific in the film. I ought to know, since I'm the director of the film. The DVD, by the way, has tons of fun extras on it - including many with Anthony talking behind the scenes, as well as on the commentary track. You can already order it on Amazon or Netflix. Or go to our site ( http://www.OpenHouseMovie.com is the other way to get there) for more info.
By the way, AuditioningWaitress, I'm just a little curious about where you found the soundtrack? There were only a handful made, and they were for our Oscar campaign last year. It's no biggie, but just wondering.
Also, I see you're interested in Jenna Leigh Green - she in some Broadway or off-Bway musical this year, right? Anyway, yes, she's in the film as well - she plays Betty, a Sexy Swiper (you can hear her in that song). Again, she was terrific in the movie.

yes, im also curious as to where you got the soundtrack.
and dan mirvish, what off broadway show is jenna supposed to be in this year? i really like her and i think she deserves another successful project like bare. the only thing is, isnt she still contracted to do the wicked tour until at least march?
that's what I was getting at: I didn't know the name of Bare or that she was in the touring show of Wicked - thanks! And hats off to Jenna. The last I'd talked to her was at a screening we did of the film in New York in August 2004 and she had just gotten there (doing Bare?) - she and Anthony did the Q-and-A with me at the Pioneer theater. We knew when we made the movie that she had a great voice, so we kept trying to expand her part and give her more of the singing lines. That's the advantage when you're doing a movie musical where the actors sing live on set - no lipsyncing or dubbing. You can change things up at the last minute.

Hey Dan...Great for you to respond personally...I actually have one of the Oscar Campaign CD's...No backpiece, just a yellow J-card...I found it in the used bins at SOUNDS in the East Village...Glad to see it's coming out on DVD, after listening to the CD, I am looking forward to seeing it...
Glad you like it! When we were first getting the film off the ground (long before Anthony was involved), we used the slogan, "It's like RENT....with a mortgage." So, it seemed especially fitting with our DVD release a week before the RENT opening to try out the slogan "Why RENT, when you can own...OPEN HOUSE." In an ideal world, everyone standing in line to see RENT would be watching a copy of our DVD on their handheld or laptop DVD player. By next week, we should also have some itune/video compatible clips up on the website with exclusive Anthony interview footage.

Yay, clips! I have the site bookmarked in anticipation.
If I had a laptop, I swear to Collins, I would be watching it while standing in line.

You guys have me all excited.
