From the Daily News today....Little late, no?
""Dull" is the word.
One consistent thing about this show has been its humiliation factor. It's bad enough that, once the finalists were selected, the show's producers struggled to find some way to help viewers tell one subpar talent from another. They decided on nicknames - "Spiritual Sandy," "Wholesome Danny."
What's worse, though, was the way the losers were forced to leave the show. On live TV, they got to say goodbye singing "Grease" songs whose lyrics stung with the context of rejection (ex-Sandy's exit: "Look at me/ There has to be/ Something more than what they see ... ").
It wasn't funny or ironic. Just mean...."

What is the big suprise casting coming Sunday night?
Not Danny and Sandy.

Interesting that they waited until the final show. Yes, the Daily News is certainly the place to go to be well informed. A notch above the Post to be sure, but a rag none the less.
There are always nay-sayers. If it isn't your cup of tea, then give it a rest. Some people like it and it will certainly sell tickets (already has!) and provide jobs for more than the Sandy and Danny who are chosen.
