Good for her.
"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert

I don't know that yet. But when I met Sutton at the beginning of this month she told me she's going to Boston in May! I can't wait until they actually post itt! But that came from her, so it's legit! :)

Do they really think some no-name is gonna sell well in the flyover states? Guess so.
Bernadette Peters? Yes. Patti LuPone? Yes. Linda Eder, even. But Sutton Foster? I can't imagine she is as well-known as even the Callaway sisters (either one), who play decidedly small venues. This is very odd news given the economic climate.

^I'm glad someone said it. I'm wondering just how well she'll sell in some of these venues.

Doesn't it depend on how big the venues are?

anyone know if she's going to come anywhere closer to virginia than north carolina? cause if not, I'll just get tickets for north carolina but it's kind of a long drive.. or does anyone know when the new dates will be announced? cause I don't want to wait too long then find out there's not one any closer and all the good tickets are gone.

I just bought tickets for her Cleveland show. She is playing the Hanna Theatre, which is a gorgeous little jewel box. If she keeps to theatres the size of the Hanna in larger cities I am sure she will see just fine to theatre fans in those cities. I can't wait!!!!!

I'm seeing her tomorrow night (Sunday, Jan. 24) at Joe's Pub. Is this a "rehearsal" of that concert, do you think?
Oddly I got a Playbill email this morning that announces she's doing that at Joe's Pub tonight. I think they are wrong.

Patash- I'm going to Sutton's concert at Joe's Pub too. It's gonna be a preview of her tour. I hope we will maybe get a new song. Hehe.
The article better be wrong from playbill! Haha. that would suck if it was tonight! But the ticket says Sunday the 24th, so it must have just been a typo.

Well, Millie -- did you like it as much as I did? I loved the "Big Book of High Belt Songs".

Here's a partial song list (just what I can remember, and probably not in order):
Not for the Life of Me/NYC/Astonishing (Medley)
Up on the Roof
Air Conditioner
Warm All Over
Show Off
My Heart Was Set On You
On My Way
The Story Goes On (chosen at random from her Big Book of Really High Belt Songs)
The Late, Late Show
Sunshine On My Shoulders
Come the Wild, Wild Weather
Once Upon a Time
Gimme, Gimme
Don't Rain on My Parade (also chosen from the Big Book of Really High Belt Songs)

I think even seeing her onstage alone must be better than sitting through Drowsy and Little Women. She has the worst taste to pick shows I must say...

Im personally not a fan of Les Miz, but I feel she was professionally able to pick her projects after Millie(which I actually do think it's a great show)
Her Tony win opened a lot of doors for her.
