One of my favorite actors.
From Hammer horror to Middle Earth he was always a class act.

Aw hell. Sad news indeed. Flights of angels sing him to his rest.

I nearly flipped out when she showed up in Tim Burton's "Sleepy Hollow." I hadn't heard he was going to be in it. It was always a pleasure to see him.
That voice!

I thought he made a memorable Saruman in Jackson's Middle Earth films, and I'll always have a fondness for his Rochefort in Richard Lester's MUSKETEER films.
Yeah, that voice. Man oh man.

He is still my favorite Dracula.

His Dracula was a staple of 1970s late night movies. Terrific actor.

I'd forgotten about Rochefort! I need to rewatch those.
Yes, a splendid actor.

In 1952, he appeared briefly (and with no credit) as Georges Seurat in the movie biography of Toulouse-Lautrec called "Moulin Rouge." Here he is with Jose Ferrer, who played Toulouse-Lautrec.

Rest in peace, Sir Christopher.
Fine singer as well as actor.
