Thanks BroadwayConcierge. Guess I’ll just wait for the phone call from Telecharge now :)
Here's the info to save someone a click:
Dear Evan Hansen Special Information
All performances of Dear Evan Hansen will now be at the Music Box Theatre, not the Belasco Theatre as previously announced. The show will begin performances as scheduled on November 14 at the Music Box.
Until September 18, tickets for Dear Evan Hansen are still on sale for the Belasco Theatre. All purchased tickets will be honored. Telecharge will contact ticket holders by email or phone about exchanging into comparable seats at the Music Box Theatre.

Can someone explain the rationale for continuing to sell tickets for The Belasco for another week? Wouldn't it make more sense to temporarily suspend ticket sales?

^ I have the same question. It seems like they're creating more work for themselves.

I would think the logical step would be to suspend sales while the Belasco tickets are transferred to the Music Box, then resume sales when that process was over.

Yeah, someone in the thread for COME FROM AWAY is claiming that they have insider info that it will be moving into the Belasco. I'll be seeing that in Ford's Theatre, so I suppose the Belasco will be a theatre I won't be visiting for the first time until whatever comes later.
but just like this announcement, I suppose we can't know for sure until we get the official announcement...

Exactly. You would think. *shrug*
"but just like this announcement, I suppose we can't know for sure until we get the official announcement..."
Is a statement on the official ticketing page not official enough for you?

I just bought tickets Saturday for a January performance. I hope I can get the same seats I chose.

I imagine the seats will be the same as it seems both theatres have the same orchestra setup and the same mezzanine setup, though the Music Box has a few more rows in the mezz. The only tickets that would be affected would be the balcony seats at the Belasco. I wonder how many of those have been sold at this point.

I'm thrilled by this change. The sight lines from the mezzanine of the Music Box are much better than the Belasco.

I was just looking at the seating plans for both to get an idea of how many seats would be affected. I hope they can honor any seats that match up exactly.
I loved the Music Box Theater, when I walked in for Shuffle Along. I thought it was a wonderful size, where mezzanine patrons weren't very far from the stage.
Would have liked to see a new theater interior but happy with the venue change. Will be happier when I know where I'll be sitting.

Could you please point me to where on the official ticketing page for COME FROM AWAY it indicates that it will be at the Belasco? Because that's what I was referring to in that we can't know that is happening for sure until we have an official announcement for it, as we have now finally gotten an official announcement for the Music Box transfer.

I have a perfect center front row mezz ticket for this show on dec 17th. Am I gonna have an issue getting the same seat and date for The Music Box?

You won't know for sure until someone from Telecharge contacts you. If it gives you any comfort, the BroadwayWorld story says: "All previous transactions will remain intact, customers will have comparable, if not identical, locations at the Music Box Theatre."

The website says this:
"Customers who have purchased or are purchasing tickets on Telecharge.com or by phone prior to September 18 may be sold Belasco tickets, but they and all Belasco ticket holders will be notified via email or telephone regarding the method of exchange to the Music Box. All previous transactions will remain intact, customers will have comparable, if not identical, locations at the Music Box Theatre"
so the seats will probably be almost the same besides the balcony. I'm not too familiar with the prices of the show but maybe they are waiting a week cause there might be a price change now that there isn't a balcony. it would have been smart to suspend it thoufh

I bought tickets front row, center of the balcony so now I'm going to be halfway up the mezzanine in the Music Box theater?? I bought front row because I'm super short and hate not being able to see over people so being right in the middle of the mezzanine is infuriating...
I guess I just have to wait to hear from telecharge ![]()

The mezzanine in the Music Box is beautiful. You shouldn't have a problem with sightlines, IMO.

I did the exact same - smack dab in the center of the balcony's first row. But I really must reiterate what others have said, the mezz at the Music Box is phenomenal. I saw Shuffle Along from the mid- to rear-mezzanine and had such a fantastic view (I'm short as well). You'll (we'll) be fine!

So let's say I were to buy a ticket for the last row in the mezzanine at the Belasco. Any idea on how that might translate to the Music Box?

I also have a front row center balcony ticket but I also am pleased as punch with the mezzanine at the Music Box. I sat in the last row for Shuffle Along and couldn't believe how good the view was.

I decided to go for mezzanine at the Belasco for the 1st preview after hearing how bad the balcony was, and was pretty pissed to have spent the extra $$ (since rear mezz at the Music Box would have been totally fine). Decided it couldn't hurt to try, so I called Telecharge; they had me on hold for awhile to check, but they cancelled the order for me, and then I purchased a balcony seat instead --- since they are inexplicably still selling Belasco seating for DEH. No inside knowledge, but I would guess the balcony, now rear mezz, pricing will go up when the Music Box seating goes on sale.
