Not to mention she did a *lot* of research into the part, if I'm not mistaken, right lc? Watched reruns to get the mannerisms did, read about her life, etc.

Don't forget her Officer Nasty on Frasier. That's one of my favorite episodes.

Yes, wrq, she has said in interviews that she did a ton of research - in a very short period of time, too, because by the time they cast her there were pretty much ready to shoot!
And if I'm not mistaken, didn't Lucie Arnaz say in interviews that she really liked Rachel's performance and how it honored her mother? I think it's sooooo cool that they worked together in DRS.
And marlomanners, do you also remember her Randy Wolfe on Diagnosis Murder? She was hilarious. I loved it when that show did comedy, and Rachel played this real pain in the butt who kept trying to solve the murder and kept giving Steve the detective headaches. I really wish that pilot had taken off. She was sort of this younger, hipper, funnier Jessica Fletcher.

Hey LC,
You don't happen to have that diagnosis murder on tape do you?? I love seeing Rachel on teevee.

Hey, there, Georgiede!
Does a bear you know what? Of course I have it on tape. Shoot me a pm and we'll discuss how I can get a copy to you.

Can Rachel dance? Like tap or ballet or anything?
Broadway Star Joined: 10/7/05
YES! I didn't see it, but reviews said that she was a great tapper as Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes. I DID get to see her in My One and Only while I was on vacation in LA last year, though, and she danced really well in that.
Citing her Seth's interview again (man, he got a lot of information out of her!), she said that she played Cassie in A Chorus Line in High School because she was the best dancer in the school. Can you imagine a high school doing BOTH Evita and A Chorus Line? Wow.
Gee, what other talents can we list? Hmmm. Well, she did great impressions of Julie and Liza at the Chatterbox, right WRQ?
And how about her jazz vocals on her solo album?
And I'll bet she cooks, too.

She should sing "I can cook too"

Um, LC... not so sure about Rachel's cooking.
I got my hands on the chatterbox and "Oh My GOD" She's hysterical!! And yes, amazingly open and honest.
Good stuff.
Must get my hands on that chatterbox ASAP.
Yes lc, wonderful impressions. She would have been brilliant in Forbidden Broadway if she ever chose to do that.
If you guys search for my review of her first performance in DRS, I mention a bit about her dancing. It wasn't complicated tap or anything, but she surprised me in The More We Dance number, like I remember watching it and thinking, and she can dance, too! The part where she runs across the stage with Jonathan, she extended her leg so far up, it was wonderful!
