That 11 yr-old was amazing!
Chenoweth had some weird breathing going on and she crakced a couple times.

Wow, never expected to be disappointed by Kristin. Just wasn't working for me, pretty much the whole number. There wasn't enough energy, it wasn't loud enough and Kristin wasn't singing very strongly. I probably would have felt the same way if it were Amy.
Enchanted, you have disappointed tonight. Here's to a better "So Close"???

Amy came across as the seasoned performer and much warmer.
Kristin fell completely flat, which is shameful, especially with all that staging to work with.
Not Kristin's best vocally. I am a huge fan of her voice generally so that struggle was very odd to hear.
Do you wonder if maybe Kristin wasn't taking it seriously? This is the first time I haven't been wowwed by her and I kinda wonder if maybe she was "phoning it in". It's a song at the Oscars that she pretty much has nothing to do with.

Really, KChenowethfan? Never would have guessed
"That's How You Know" is a pop song.
Chenoweth, who has been able to nail that sound perfectly in her career before, sung it as a vibrato-filled opera number.
It fell completely flat.
Adams, on the other hand, was great.
Yeah, the name gives it a way. I am not a rabid fan, but I do think she has a great vocal talent. Her persona grates though.

That's How You Know sounds more impressive with Amy Adams. Even though Kristin is great it was just so low in her range, it didn't sound that great, just my opinion

Completely phoned in. And for a performer known for her immense energy and charisma, that was shocking.
I loved Amy, she did a great job. But Kristin? Wow, I was really disappointed. I know that's going to come across kind of harsh but I was so excited to see her sing tonight; and it really fell flat on it's feet.
It was weird though...at one point she was like talking to the guy with the drum and mouthed something like "Yeah I know oops," if I'm not mistaken. Did anybody else catch that?

However, if Amy had been given that song as well, I think she would have done a lot worse than Kristin judging by "Happy Working."
Both Amy and Kristin seemed off and nervous, but especially Amy. And what was up with Kristin's more operatic take? She can definitely do pop, and I was hoping for some glorious straight tones like I heard her sing in Stairway to Paradise in the number "Dancing in the Dark." The notes are in about the same range, I think. I think Kristin was good, and leagues better than Amy (unfortunately for Amy) but still nowhere near the level she usually is.

I'll check next commercial break.
Yeah I was really confused. Thanks.

Yeah, she definitely threw something in there. Oh, did anyone notice how she raised up one of the "that's how you know"s? I liked that. And she attempted a little ornamentation on a note at one point as well...

she seemed more enthusiastic in the rehearsal photo.
Yeah, I noticed that but it seemed like she was like trying to hard to make the song all about her operatic voice talents when it really is, as mentioned above, a poppy song.
It wasnt very good.
After the kick line and right before she goes into the "happily ever after" part she looks at the drummer guy, smiles and says "okay". Was that the part you meant?
Yeah I think but I thought I saw more mouthed....either way why did she say that? Interesting.

She actually said "okay". Maybe he said "you're blowing chunks" lol
Falling Slowly up now
Hahahahah most likely. But like it seemed like she was keeping a fake smile or something while he was telling her she did something wrong. And since you just said that, it kinda makes sense. He probably didn't say THAT lol, but like it seemed like she forgot to do something or needed to be reminded of something.
"But like it seemed like she was keeping a fake smile or something while he was telling her she did something wrong"
That's the most likely but least amusing.
True haha
