Best is so much harder, happily. I'd pick (partly for sentimental reasons):
Rent OBC
Ragtime OBC
Chicago revival original cast
Special mention to The Book of Mormon which...it's too soon to include it, but I LOVED it. And Patti LuPone Gypsy which juuuust missed and would probably knock Ragtime off the list.

Worst:
Lord of the Rings in Toronto
Brooklyn OBC
Martin Guerre in London
Dishonorable mention to the off-off-Broadway musical Imelda which was actually worse than any of these but also had less to work with, so I found its failures less spectacular.

High? On the Best lists? I'm flumoxed! It was an okay little production but....the best?

Please...clue me in! Was it Kathllen Turner's Swearing Nun or the male nudity?

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

Best 3 - Worst 3

Did no one in the UK see the musical BEHIND THE IRON MASK (with Sheila Ferguson and Robert Fardell)? It set the standard for worst musical ever.

I'll change the wording a little bit and say the most memorable because they were so good and most memorable because they were so bad:

Memorable/Good:

1. Richard III (Ian McKellan at BAM)
2. Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf (OBC with Uta Hagen)
3. Gypsy (Merman)

Memorable/Bad:

1. Moose Murders (one of the two performances with Eve Arden)
2. Dance of the Vampires
3. Miss Saigon (hated it, hated it, hated it)
