I was there!

Reviews shouldn't really apply to this as it's billed a "workshop production". The director came out before the show and mentioned that it was a staged presentation of the "second draft". I actually really enjoyed myself. Its a completely original story though influenced a TON by Wizard of Oz, Neil Gaiman and that movie Spirited Away, but with its own twists and turns. (i don't want to give anything away...) Val Fagan is INCREDIBLE! I have her SVU FB album. She's a stand out for sure. I've always been a huge Thompson and Mann groupie (Loved their show Trails which I saw at the NYMF a few years back). The music, in particular, is DAMN good. Jeff Thompson is the real deal in my mind. The only thing that bothered me was the theatre was so hot and even with fans blowing I was sweating up a storm. Anyway, those are my thoughts. I recommend it to anyone wanting to see a work in development that has a lot of great potential!
