Voice Lessons at Steppenwolf with Laurie Metcalf.

Thaddeus and Slocum at Lookingglass

Tug of War at ShakespeareTheatre

I'd also suggest checking out the Ravinia schedule.  It's a beautiful experience.

Heading to Chicago in July for 'War Paint' and also hoping to catch 'Between Riverside and Crazy'. Does anyone know of cheaper ticket options for the Steppenwolf? I looked and the prices are $76, which is doable, but ultimately I'd like to pay a little less with some sort of discount/rush. Thanks!

Hot tix is similar to TKTS but you can sometimes get tickets a few days ahead and you can order online. The popular shows do often sell out though and may not be available. Otherwise if you sign up for the steppenwolf emails they send out discounts sometimes.

Steppenwolf also sometimes has a pay your age program. I thought it was Sundays but for the flick I guess it's Tuesdays. You can only get those by calling the box office. (If you're over 50 you pay $50)

They also have rush and some same day $20 tickets. https://www.steppenwolf.org/Plays-Events/Gifts-Discounts.aspx

Mary Page Marlowe at Steppenwolf just extended through 6/5. I highly recommend it to those of you who will be in Chicago!!

The production of Dreamgirls at Porchlight Theatre is extremely well-done, with a knockout turn from Donica Lynn as Effie and excellent work from the entire cast.  http://www.theatreinchicago.com/dreamgirls/8327/
