I saw the show on Sunday before the Tonys, and I'm still thinking about it and whether I liked it or not. That being said, I'm very glad I saw it and Chita was incredible and just as legendary as she's known to be.
"Anybody that goes to the theater, I think we’re all misfits, so we ended up on stage or in the audience.” --- Patti LuPone.
I have never posted on here during a NYC trip, but I had to today to tell everyone to get to the Lyceum for one of the last 3 performances. We just saw this last night, and it's the best thing we've seen so far this trip ( we've seen Curious Incident and AAIP). It's a shame that this piece has not found a wider audience. Such an amazing show, and what else can be said about Chita's performance? Just go see it!
Caught the show at Wednesday's matinee. Jason Danieley was out due to concertizing in Boston, but the show was truly engrossing. Sad that it's closing.
